Crape Myrtle Festival & Fireworks

The Crape Myrtle Capital of Texas will be in full-bloom and ready to celebrate Independence Day with the 28th Annual Crape Myrtle Festival & Parade. The Crape Myrtle Festival is FREE to the public. The patriotic celebration will begin on Friday, July 3, at 6 p.m. at the Waxahachie Sports Complex located at 151 Broadhead Rd.

This year, guests will enjoy a concert at 7:30 p.m. The spectacular H-E-B and City of Waxahachie fireworks display will begin at 9:15 p.m. Spectators are encouraged to tune their radio to KBEC 1390/99.1 during the fireworks show for a special simulcast of patriotic music choreographed to the fireworks. Lawn chairs, blankets and coolers are allowed at the Waxahachie Sports Complex; however, personal fireworks are prohibited.

4th of July Parade

On July 4, the celebration will continue at 10 a.m. with the CNB of Texas hometown parade from Getzendaner Park down Main Street to Downtown Waxahachie. The 4th of July Parade is FREE to the public.
