About the Event
Carry The Load is a national, month-long movement dedicated to restoring the true meaning of Memorial Day. The Ellis County event invites the community to come together to honor those who have served and sacrificed.
Participants will experience inspiring speakers, a shared walk of remembrance, and time to connect with others who carry the stories and legacies of our nation’s heroes.
Event Schedule
- 9:00 AM – Gather in the lot across from Stuart B. Lumpkins Stadium
- 9:30 AM – Welcome & National Anthem
- 9:35 AM – Inspiring Speakers
- 10:00 AM – 1-Mile or 5K Walk Begins
- 11:15 AM – Walk Concludes
- 11:20 AM – Post-Walk Hangout with Food
- 12:30 PM – Event Ends
