Where’s Waldo? In Waxahachie, of course! The famous children’s book character in the red-and-white-striped shirt and black-rimmed specs is visiting local businesses throughout downtown Waxahachie this July 1-26! Find Waldo Local is a free, family-friendly summer activity and a wonderful way to support local businesses.
Anyone who wishes to participate can pick up a “Find Waldo Local in Waxahachie!” stamp card at O’Brien’s Bookshop
inside Gingerbread Antiques starting July 1. The stamp card shows all the participating businesses. When you spot the 6-inch Waldo standup, the participating shop will stamp your card.
Waldo has also misplaced his glasses and a gold medal in O’Brien’s Bookshop, so eagle-eyed hunters can find those as well and earn two extra stamps!
Collecting store stamps or signatures at 20 or more businesses will qualify diligent seekers for a pair of Waldo glasses and their own gold medal, PLUS entry into a grand-prize drawing for Waldo books, merchandise and gift cards from participating downtown businesses!
In addition, there will be a Waldo party and grand prize drawing Saturday, July 27 at Railyard Park! Stay tuned for more details about that.
