Waxahachie Fall Events You Will Love

Fall is officially around the corner when you see 1,000 Chevrolet C10 trucks and their entourage of owners converge in Getzendaner Park for C10s in the Park turning Waxahachie into “C10ville USA” on Saturday, September 19, 2020.The public is invited to come out and look at the largest gathering of C10 trucks in the south on display in the park, 400 S. Grand Ave., from 8 a.m.-4 p.m.The trucks will then make their way to downtown Waxahachie for a “Party on the Square” from 6:30 p.m.-10 p.m. featuring a FREE concert.

Waxahachie is also prime for unique shopping experiences in the fall including:Junk in the Trunk – September 19; Waxahachie Bridal Extravaganza Market – September 20; Antique Alley Texas – September 18-20; OddFest – October 3; and Vintage Market Days – October 2-4.

For haunted fall fun, don’t miss the scariest Screams® experience ever beginning October 2 and running every Friday and Saturday night through October 31.“Screams® 2020 offers 5 haunted houses, each with a different theme (Cursed . . . The Witches of TerraMythica Castle, Pt. Harmum's Carnival of Chaos, Captain Barbarosa's Blood Harbour, Hotel D'feers and Zombie Wasteland . . . Apocalypse), PLUS live entertainment, Scary-Oke, games of skill, food court, shops, pubs and more.

Fun for everyone is packaged in the largest one-day arts and music festival in the state of Texas, 25th Annual Texas Country Reporter Festival, taking place around the historic courthouse square in downtown Waxahachie on Saturday, October 24, 2020 from 9 a.m.-7 p.m.Admission is FREE.

Festival goers can join Kelli & Bob Phillips, hosts of the weekly TV show, Texas Country Reporter, for non-stop live music, including a free concert with a 90's to now artist to be announced soon.

Surrounding the Waxahachie courthouse square will be more than 250 booths set-up with artists, craftspeople, food, live entertainment and some of the people who have been featured on Texas Country Reporter over the years.

To complete the fall event line-up, Waxahachie Veterans Weekend & WWII Reenactment will take place November 13-15, 2020. Events include:Ellis County Veterans Ceremony, "Operation: Hands on History" for students and family sponsored by Historic Waxahachie Inc., meet and greet WWII veterans signing autographs, oral history presentations, campsites with displays featuring equipment and weapons, display of military vehicles, vintage military aircraft flyovers during Saturday activities, period USO display, battle at the train depot, outdoor vendor markets, shopping and other activities.
