2022 Grown Local Go Texan Stage

The Grown Local Go Texan Stage at the Texas Country Reporter Festival is looking for ELLIS COUNTY performers of all kinds to entertain our 50,000 friends that attend what is now the largest one-day art & music festival in the state of Texas. The event will be Saturday, October 29, 2022 in historic downtown Waxahachie. Festival hours are 9 am-7 pm. The Grown Local Go Texan performances will take place at our amphitheater, Railyard Park, from 9 am-5 pm.

Do you have what it takes to be one of our 2022 Grown Local performers? Here's what we are looking for:

-Ellis County resident(s)
-Talent of all kinds, including singers, bands, solo acts, duos, jugglers, dance groups or individual dancers, clogging groups, poets, etc.
-High energy, fun and engaging 30-40 minute performance
-Great attitudes from load-in to load-out
-You can sell merch and keep 100%; small performance fee to be discussed if selected

Deadline for submission: June 30, 2022

NOTE: There is no fee to submit yourself or your band or group for review. Submission does not secure a performance slot for the 2022 Grown Local Go Texan stage.

Submissions will be reviewed and narrowed down to the top 10 selections, then be voted on by the public. The top 10 acts will be promoted on the Visit Waxahachie and Texas Country Reporter facebook pages. The polls will be open for voting from July 6-31. Only one vote per person/email address will be counted. By mid August, we will contact the 5 acts with the highest vote counts and officially announce the stage line-up.

At that time, you will be asked to complete a contract and send us a tech rider or production needs.
